Amy Williams – Journalist and Writer
  • Freelance Journalism

I’m an experienced journalist and writer with 18 years and counting under my belt, having worked in both print and broadcasting. I cut my teeth in grassroots journalism, working for community newspapers, before working at the NBR, then at Radio NZ as a business reporter and presenter.

I enjoy the variety of topics that come my way, and take on a variety of commissioned work (spanning profiles, features and opinion pieces), covering a range of topics from business to lifestyle.

My stories have been published in both print and online – including the NZ Herald’s Canvas magazine, careers website Yudu, the Institute of Directors magazine BoardRoom, Good magazine and Idealog, and publications for NZTE. I also have a regular column in Farmers Weekly called Town Talk.

  • Business Writing and Communications

All businesses need to craft their communications. I take on commissioned work for private clients, helping tell stories, craft press releases, write website copy and develop communications plans.
